Just as He saved us from our Great Sorrow, He longs to do the same for the one you are looking at, the one whom you are learning to love.
There is such a deep ache in each one of their hearts.
It’s for fathers, for mothers, for husbands—to no longer be called “orphans” but “family.”
Maybe they will scream at you, maybe they will throw it in your face, threaten you, hate you, curse you, despise you or heaven forbid
…not need you.
But behind all the charade, all the pretty paint, all that glitters, lies a deep dormant sorrow waiting for the solitude where it can once again travail, weep, and reverberate “What can wash away my sin?”
We say, “Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Nothing but the blood of Jesus.”
                                                                        - Me and everything in my heart tonight
